Sew Let’s Quilt Along!

I’m so excited to announce that our brand new quilt along will be starting in TWO weeks on Tuesday, 12th March 2019.

I can’t wait to show you all the fabulous blocks we have been working on! As you’ve probably guessed it’s going to be sewing themed and you’re going to LOVE it!

We understand that not every one wants to commit to a full-size quilt so this year we’ve organised the quilt along differently. This quilt along will be split into three segments. The first segment will have five blocks (one large and four 12″ blocks) and the other two will have four blocks each. At the end of each segment, we will show you projects to use up those blocks e.g. a wall hanging or a table runner.

Of course, some of you will want to make a full quilt and that’s fine too. After all the blocks have been released some of our hosts will show you quilt layouts that use every block. So you can commit as much time as you have available, how neat is that?

We will release a FREE pdf pattern every two weeks for the duration of the quilt along. (Please note, the patterns may not be available free of charge after the quilt along ends on the 24th September 2019.)

We are a global group of bloggers and designers who have been working together for a number of years now. In fact it’s hard to believe that this is our third quilt along!!

Why should I join?

Well, we’d love to have you on board! All the patterns are brand new and unique to this quilt along and are FREE until the end of the quilt along. Our previous two quilt alongs have been such good fun. It’s fascinating seeing all the different versions of the same block. I’ve been blown away by the creativity of our participants in previous years.

We have so many different people taking part, from absolute beginners to seasoned professionals. And as we are based in different parts of the world, there is always someone online to give you a hand if you have any questions or just want to get some opinions on which fabrics look best! As well as everything else, we have some great prizes too.

Prizes

You can enter the prize draw at the end of each segment by showing a photo which includes all the blocks released in that segment. You can show a completed project using the blocks or just the blocks themselves as some of you will be saving your blocks up to make the quilt.

Share your photos in the Facebook Group, or the segment’s linky party or on Instagram using the #SewLetsQAL hashtag to be entered into the draw.

For those who use all thirteen blocks either in a quilt top or in multiple small projects, there will be a Grand Prize draw and you can enter in the same way as above. Post a photo of all thirteen blocks, either on Facebook, Instagram or on the linky party and you will be entered into the draw.

We love to see the different versions of the blocks so please keep sharing your photos, even if the prize draw deadline is passed, we still wanna see what you’ve been working on!
