Hello there! I blew the dust of this little blog before I began writing today but I’m delighted to finally show you this new woodland quilt. It is made up of six machine pieced blocks. It features a squirrel, an owl, a fox, and a hedgehog, along with the toadstool and apple blocks. You can purchase all these blocks separately.
The pattern includes the instructions for the traditional maple leaf block and the little acorns for free!

The 12″ hedgehog quilt block pattern features three leaves covering the hedgehog however I haven’t used this top section of the block in the quilt. Instead I have provided a separate maple leaf pattern for the leaves that swirl through out the quilt. The full hedgehog quilt block pattern is included with the pattern though.

In the fox block pattern, there are directions for both a left and right facing fox. Btw, wouldn’t this fox make a wonderful Christmas pillow if you added a quick festive border?

I released the squirrel pattern last year so you may recognise this pair! The squirrel pattern also contains instructions for both a left and right facing squirrel.

The apple pattern is a 4-in-1 pattern as there are options to make a whole apple or a half apple in 6″ or 12″ version. You can add a pair of leaves or just a jaunty single leaf. Either of the 6″ versions would work in the quilt, just chose which one you prefer. Please note, the woodland quilt pattern includes the measurements for the 12″ apple sizes also.

I think the crow quilt block also goes really well with the woodland range. You can purchase all blocks separately so you could mix and match the different creatures to chose your woodland favourites.
You can get your copy of the woodland quilt pattern on this site or from my Etsy shop.
